Unholy Matrimony //Poem

A hollow cup of matrimony,

A world now built with you,

You as my Queen, Queen that

I shall bare faith to, to the heavens above

For they forbid that I shall make such

commitment to a goddess that descended

From the heavens and now walks amongst

The earth and the rows of Lillie’s and

Roses such an unholy matrimony

But my eyes began to wonder

Away like a thief that robs from the

Chamber of ones love, one’s heart

One’s heart that one entrusts the

Hand of their lover to carry it

Far and well following the path

Of gold and true faith in the love

That pours into one’s empty cup,

My vows becoming void like a

Castle on sand, sand that has been

Washed away, the world I promised

To build with you becoming a simple

Distant memory, a memory of a

Shattered promise

A holy matrimony now so unholy,

My vows burning, burning like the

Wrath of the Lord and his sword

Of  justice and judgment, even the

Devil himself bows before my very

Own eyes for I've dethroned him

Without knowing I dethroned

The king of the underworld

Forgive for I’ve sinned against

You as my own wife, I’ve sinned

Against the heart so grand even the

Mighty Lord can’t forgive…
